"Grampa Richard, that's how ALL your stories begin," says the skeptical Daniel, or so he would say if most of his vocalization did not sound approximately like "URRRrrsplllbbpppnnnnnn".

Richard, who like Ellyn, has elected for a nom de bebe, in this case "Leland" (really, don't ask us, it's a loooooong story), is undeterred and proceeds with the story anyway.

Years later, all of Daniel's friends will wonder why all of his really good jokes involve a guy named Leland in a bar in Brooklyn... :-)
