Earning his keep

Mommy and Daddy had a serious talk with Daniel about how much he was costing them. Daniel volunteered to start pulling his weight around the house, starting with sweeping up in the kitchen during the remodel. Mommy and Daddy had a difficult time convincing their contractor, Steve, to pay Daniel, but they eventually worked out an appropriate kickback arrangement: Steve let Daniel keep the broom.
