Takin' it like a man

Daniel gets a taste of his own medicine...antibiotics, that is. Our little guy came down with his first ear infection this week. On one hand, we feel awful that he was in pain for any period of time. On the other hand, we feel grateful that he dodged the ear infection bullet as long as he did, and that when it finally hit him, we caught it early, so it was a mild one, relatively speaking. On the other other (?) hand, we're relieved that the antibiotics kicked in very quickly, and Daniel went back to being his cheerful friendly self in a matter of hours. Plus, he feels like such a big boy when he takes his own medicine. Unfortunately, the medicine is a bit too tasty (it's bubble gum flavored), and Daniel asks for more medicine several times a day. When Mommy tells him that he can have it only once in the morning and once before bedtime...cue meltdown! When you're two and a half, and you can't score your own junk, that's a long time between fixes...
