The whites of their eyes
Daniel and Madeline engage in the first of what will likely be countless sibling staring contests over the years. Unfortunately for Daniel, biology is on Maddie's side -- at least for now. It is a well-proven fact that newborn babies need to blink only twice per minute, and the rate rises steadily as we age. "That's OK," Daniel thinks, "You're so good at staring, so you can just stare at me as I steal your toys!"
